Launched from humble roots, Preferred Window & Door has grown, developed and expanded all under the expert eyes of the Birkett’s. The family-owned and operated company was started in the owners’ home and a small rented garage. Over the years, we have moved from our original base to an 18,000-square-foot facility that was renovated in 2015 and became our company’s headquarters. Today, we have more than 50 employees serving our clients and communities. Our three sons continue to carry on our family tradition and mission and goals as we head into our successful future.
Our team will work with you on exactly what you want and need for your home or business. Our technicians understand that your residential garage door serves as not only a source of security but also a boost to your home’s curb appeal, value, and overall look. We work with different types of materials, such as steel, aluminum, carriage, and wood.
These various options allow for homeowners to find the perfect fit for their style and needs. Carriage doors have a traditional look while steel garage doors are durable and can stand up to the weather ups and downs that occur in our region. No matter what type you select, you can rely on the fact that our installation process will ensure that your door is put in properly and will run smoothly for years to come.
At Preferred Window & Door, we can help when your garage door is not working properly. We provide repair services in a timely fashion so that you can get on with your daily life and normal routine.
Needed repairs may include broken springs, which we can readily address. The springs’ job is to do the heavy lifting. Broken springs need to be addressed promptly as even larger problems can arise if they aren’t fixed quickly.
Planned and scheduled garage door maintenance is vital and part of our offerings. Our skilled technicians can take a close look at your door to determine if there are any issues. A maintenance strategy can help reduce repairs later on and also keep your door running efficiently. Our maintenance service includes many points of inspection, including looking at your bearings, door alignment, section condition, weather stripping, and locks. We will also inspect and lubricate all of your rollers and springs and also look at and tighten hinges and hardware.
Our prompt and professional team is ready to serve you today! Our trained technicians will work with you directly as we never use subcontractors. Call us to discuss your job – whether it’s big or small – at 708-895-3667 or fill out our online contact form.
